Our greatest challenges reside in our minds.
We all have our stories of struggle and our stories of hope. But one thing should strike us clearer than it does and that is the fact that WE are the storytellers, not the struggle nor the hope.
It is easy to become consumed by our environment, by the thousands of thoughts that are flowing through our minds; and when that happens, we often lose our sense of self.
But if we were to regain our sense of self, we would readily observe that we are NOT our thoughts, we have the power to watch the thoughts flow by like a river – we can choose which ones to reach for, which ones to stay in – and for how long.
Mindfulness is a practice that reveals an ultimate truth about ourselves. A truth that is universal within all of us.
We are the possible. And what is possible, is up to us.
